TorresDr. Torres is a Harvard fellowship-trained Ophthalmologist specializing in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Surgery. She has a special interest in ocular surface disease, pterygium and symblepharon surgery. Dr. Torres received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and her Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University Of Puerto Rico School Of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency programs in Puerto Rico where she was in private practice for 21 years. Dr. Torres, fluent in Spanish, has recently relocated to Austin bringing her family and loved ones with her including her seven dogs! We are excited to welcome Dr. Torres to Howerton Eye. When Dr. Torres is not working her current hobbies are house hunting, dog grooming, and enjoying everything Austin life has to offer. Dr. Torres is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
